Here’s a few pictures from before and after our installation. As you can see we are careful, quick, and clean through the whole process. Unfortunately this customer preferred to keep their original pre-filters. But just because they look dirty does not mean they aren’t working!

Does Your Home or Business Need More Water Treatment?

0

With proper water treatment, you can feel secure in the knowledge that the water coming from your taps is safe to use for bathing, drinking, cooking, and many other reasons.  It functions to remove or reduce the contaminants that are held within the water – many of which you cannot even see – to make it cleaner, healthier, and even tastier.

You may be wondering if your own home or business needs additional water treatment.  After all, if it has already been deemed safe, shouldn’t you assume that the authorities know what they’re doing?

The fact is that in many cases, water must travel quite a distance in order to reach your home. Throughout its journey, it can pick up many different chemicals and sediments such as chlorine, iron, sulfur, manganese, and others.  This can add taste and odor to the water, and can even make it harder on your home’s major appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers, which won’t run as effectively and will have a shorter lifespan.

With the right water treatment system in your home or business, you can take advantage of a number of important benefits.  They include the following:

  • Eating and drinking – water that has been properly treated will be healthier and will taste much more crisp and pure.  This also means that any food or beverage that you prepare using the treated water will taste noticeably better.  Even the ice from the freezer will last longer, look more clear, and taste better without the mineral and lime deposits.
  • Personal care – bathing and showering in water that has undergone additional treatment is much more pleasant and efficient.  You will need less of your shampoos and soaps, as they will develop a better lather and will wash away more quickly and easily.  Hair will dry more quickly and won’t have a slimy feeling. Skin will be soft and free of residues.  This is pleasant for everyone, but is especially important to individuals with sensitive or reactive skin, such as newborn babies.
  • Cleaning and laundry – general cleaning is much easier with treated water.  Sinks and bathtubs don’t suffer as much soap scum, water stains, and scale buildup.  Moreover, appliances such as washing machines will run more efficiently because of the lack of mineral deposits in the pipes.  Less detergent will be required, and white fabrics will keep their crispness much longer.  Moreover cloth feel batter on the skin when they have been washed in treated water.

Therefore, most people who have tried treated water will agree that the question isn’t whether or not you need a water treatment system for your home or business, but rather which one is right for your needs.

The Benefits of Water Purification

0

Water purification is a process that removes various types of contamination from water such as suspended particles, bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi, and a number of other substances that may be dissolved with the liquid such as chemicals and minerals.  It can help to improve the quality of the water including its clarity, flavor, odor, and safety.

Simply looking at your water isn’t enough to know how clean it is.  Even water that looks clear in a glass may hold any number of contaminants. Special water purification systems are often the only thing that can truly eliminate these issues, as even boiling and activated carbon filters are often insufficient to remove them.  If you have not yet had your water tested, you may wish to do so to investigate the types of contamination it may contain.

With the increasing levels of pollution in our world, tap water is becoming ever more difficult to purify on the large scale.  This is encouraging many homeowners and business owners to invest in their own private water purification systems instead of relying on the public treatment exclusively.

This helps to make sure that even if the water has been deemed safe by the local testing authority, any impurities that may remain (or that may have been picked up in the pipes between the municipal facility and the tap) will be removed before they are added to your drinking water, food, skin, or clothing.

Though water purification systems are most popular in areas where fresh water is not available in abundance, they are also now becoming increasingly popular in less rural locations as people are finding that they trust their town or city’s water treatment facilities to be inadequate.

The process is primarily designed to make sure that harmful microorganisms will be killed and/or removed, which will significantly reduce the risk of illness that would result from drinking in-pure water.  However, purification also works to remove minerals such as iron, manganese, sulfur, and calcium which can leave deposits on pipes, sinks, tubs, and toilets, cause appliances to run less efficiently, and even lead to irritation on the skin and eyes.  Moreover, water purification can help to remove common polluting agents such as synthetic chemicals and various forms of chemical soil fertilizers.

There are many kinds of water purification systems, so it is recommended that you speak with a professional before you choose the right one for your home or business.  This will help you to assure you that your family, employees, and/or coworkers will have the safest water to use for drinking, cooking, cleaning, and for many other purposes.

Water Testing

Water Test | What Should You Know About a Water Test?

New stains left behind on clothing, sinks, bathtubs, and toilet bowls, changes in colors, changes in odor or taste, can all be indicative in a problem with your water quality.  While that is the case, water that appears to be clear, odorless, and tasteless is not necessarily safe and clean.  Only a water test can tell you what is contained within your water and what its safe uses may be.bubbles from soft water

That said, not everybody needs every type of water test.  For example, if your water comes from a local municipality, testing for contaminants can be extremely challenging.  Instead of having a water test for quality performed, you can obtain the local water agent’s fact sheet that can help you to recognize potential contaminants.  It can also help to provide you information about any type of water test that may actually be needed. You can also obtain further information about recommended water testing by that water agent.

Homeowners most likely to need a water test for quality include those who have a private water source, such as from boreholes, wells, and reservoirs.  This is a more common occurrence in rural areas where you are responsible for the safety of your own water.

Aside from a water test for quality, there are also tests that can be performed to measure other aspects of the water, such as its hardness.  Hard water is a serious issue that can lead to health problems, skin and hair issues, poorly functioning appliances that use water, such as a washing machine, dishwasher, coffee maker, or even a faucet.  This test will let you know whether or not it is a good idea to install a water softener.

If you need to know the quality, hardness level, or other issues about the water that comes from your taps, it is recommended that you have the right water test performed so that you can take the appropriate action to resolve any issues that may exist.
